Micheline V. Goulet

LEWISTON – Micheline V. Goulet, 82, of Lewiston passed away, with her loving family by her side, on March 18, 2024, at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born in Drummondville, Canada on Sept. 5, 1941, to Juliette (Roy) and Royale Vallieres. Her family arrived in Lewiston in 1946 then moved to Auburn, where she attended school.

On July 2, 1962, she married Fernand Goulet, the love of her life, and together they raised four children. For many years, she and her husband were business owners.

Micheline enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks but her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She modeled family values, shared many stories, and was a trustworthy confidante and advisor. She was a faithful steward and member of Holy Cross Parish.

Micheline was predeceased by her husband of 48 years; her daughter, Denise Dube; her parents; sister, Pierrette Cyr and brothers Charles and Gilles Vallieres.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Doreen) Goulet, Deborah (Edward) Jalbert and Diane Goulet; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers Lucien and Richard (Gloria) Vallieres, sister-in-law, Charlotte Vallieres; and many nieces and nephews.
