Join local yoga instructor Emily for a dynamic morning yoga practice! As we prepare for the upcoming eclipse, you can expect to salute the sun and moon. A grounded flow followed by a deep shavasana of rest will allow time for mindful gratitude and reflection on this cosmic event.

Suitable for all levels of yoga practice. Beginner friendly.

Bring a yoga mat or towel and your water bottle!

Is your equipment up to snuff for the eclipse?  We will look at everything from colanders and pinhole cameras to specialty lenses for your phone and telescope. If you have old eclipse glasses, bring them in to ensure they are in good repair!

3 – 5 PM | Night Sky Trivia @ The Rangeley Tavern

11 – 4PM | Spring Bash, Rewind & Grind Rail Jam @ Saddleback 
Step back with a retro bash at Saddleback!

This rail jam is open to the public and for both skiers and riders. Come ride or watch from the base area! It’s a great time to hang with friends and watch these creative riders get after it. Throw down and win big. Prizes to the top three riders in categories picked by the SBTP crew.

The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will host an Artist Reception celebrating the works of regional photographers Ben Pearson & Nick Leadley at the Lakeside Contemporary Art Gallery, located in the lobby of the RFA Lakeside Theater. Full Concessions, including a beer/wine cash bar, will be available.

Grab your camp chair and a blanket and head to the Rangeley Adventure Company. Enjoy melodic sounds under the night sky with Emily Spellmire.

8 – 10 PM | Lights Out, Rangeley!
Set a timer to turn off all outdoor lighting and enjoy all the stars! Even try having a lights-free night. This includes all light-producing devices such as TVs and cell phones. Enjoy the dark! Photographer Kyle Haley will be filming the before and after of this event!

8 – 10 PM | Astrophotography Meet-up @ Rangeley Lakes Trails Center (Donations Encouraged)
Gather your gear and join regional astrophotographers Ben Pearson and Nick Leadley for an informal meet-up to take photos. This is not a workshop, merely an opportunity for photographers to gather in a night sky-friendly space. Participants must have their setup.

The Rangeley Public Library is opening for a special scientific event! Looking for something to fill your morning? Stop in and try our hands-on activities. Looking for a knowledgeable, chill place to view the event? We will be out in our back garden, soaking it all in! Spend time on our shelves or at the computer center while you wait. A note of warning- we will send everyone outside and close the doors at around 3:20 pm to encourage every patron to be present for the event. We will reopen shortly after Totality is completed.

We invite you to join us to view NASA’s live stream of the 2024 total solar eclipse at the RFA Lakeside Theater.
