The Lakeside Dance Academy will present the Annual Spring Dance Concert at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, at the RFA Lakeside Theater in Rangeley. The evening performances will showcase the work of over 45 dancers of all ages and is sponsored by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts. Seniors Averie Flewelling and Angelica Woodward will be featured in solo dances that they have choreographed. The theme for the evening is “New Beginnings.”

There will be a reception to celebrate the dancers in the theater lobby after the concert each night.

Dancers ranging in ability from beginner to advanced will perform in Ballet, Tap, Jazz  and en Pointe. In the Advanced level, the dancers include:  Michelle Cerminara, Averie Flewelling, Mya Gellman, Abby Grant, Troy Hathaway,  Joslyn Kennett, Addie Knieser,  Mia Lynch,  Stella MacFawn,  Sarah Kate Murphy, Audrey Sutherland, Ollie Sherrer and Angelica Woodward. The Intermediate level includes Madilyn Charette, Sarita Chavaree, Pippa Farrar,  Sasha Hines, Abby Kay,  Ana Orazi,  Aliyah Reinholt, Anah Sutherland,  Skyler Thompson, Morghan Webber, Eric White and Harper Wright.  The Beginner level includes Bella Dutile, Delaney Gage, Clara Gurney, Emma Haley, Claire Hayden, Lilliana Hjelmstad, Seamus Loud, Lydia O’Neil and Ellie Phadungchai.  The pre-school Creative Movement class includes the youngest dancers: Isabelle Bacon, Ivy Bacon, Kaylee Bernier, Mia Dutile, Dylynn Gage, Scarlet Garner, Celia Grierson, Ava Knight, Melody LeMoine,  Mandy Morton and Tenley Philbrick.

The Lakeside Dance Academy has been providing dance instruction in the Rangeley Region since 1986 under the Artistic Direction of Pam Ellis. Lily Webber, a graduate of the Academy, is the instructor of the Creative Movement class. The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has provided support through the years via their Scholarship and Student Lessons Program.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students 12 and under. Reserve seating tickets will be on sale April 15-19 from 1-5 p.m. at the RFA Lakeside Theater.
