James Gendron

LEWISTON – James C. Gendron, 60, of Lewiston, peacefully passed away on Saturday March 30, 2024 at his home surrounded by family following a long battle with cancer.

Jimmy was born on May 16, 1963, a son of Claude and Jacqueline (Cloutier) Gendron. He graduated from Lewiston High School and later went on to work as an electrician assistant where he mastered his skill and eventually owned his own business.

Jimmy had two children, Michael and Kendra, with his former spouse Tracey Gendron, and later married Donna Robishaw on July 30, 2011.

Jimmy was known by many as the “guy to call” if you ever needed a helping hand. He truly lived life to its fullest through simple pleasures of spending time helping others in need. He enjoyed his home and people gathering around a fire no matter the season. He loved the outdoors, whether it was camping with his family or his yearly hunting trip with his father and son. He also enjoyed many snowmobile trips with his best buddy, Jeff, up in Jackman, which he called “God’s Country”.

He always played the lottery, trying his luck with scratch tickets, Power Ball or the infamous Dog House at his brother-in-law’s house. He thought if he could only hit it big once, life could be so much easier. He loved his family dearly and will surely be missed by many. We are all grateful that he is now in his eternal home with the Lord and his loving mother.

He is survived by his former spouse, Tracey; his wife Donna and her children Josh and April.

He also leaves behind his children, son, Michael and his wife Jaime, daughter, Kendra and partner Jason; his father, Claude Gendron; his sisters Doreen, Sandy, Donna and Debbie; as well as his eight grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his mother, Jacqueline Gendron; and his two dogs, Pop Pop and Tom Tom.

A private interment will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston on Saturday April 6. A Celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at the Webber Club in Lewiston for all to gather in remembrance of him on Saturday April 13 at 12 p.m. Arrangements are under the guidance of Albert and Burpee Funeral Home and Cremation Services 253 Pine St., Lewiston, 782-7201.
