The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland has named Josiah Childers of Otisfield its Regional School Unit 16 student of the month for March.
Childers, an adult education student, is described by staff as a friendly, outgoing person who consistently strives for excellence. He demonstrates humility and thoughtful consideration in everything he does and has an inquisitive nature and thirst for learning that inspires enthusiasm in those around him, according to a news release from Jenny Rose, RSU 16 Adult Education director.
