Last year the Waterford Congregational Church program Climate Conversations: What Can WE Do? sponsored its first Earth Day celebration. Many volunteers from the community shared activities such as how to compost, make bird feeders from things around the house, plant seed balls, and ideas on how to repurpose and recycle. Artwork, done by students from Waterford Elementary School depicting what Earth Day meant to them, lined the walls of the Wilkins Community House.

This year, both the Waterford Elementary and Harrison Elementary school students have been creating artwork that will be on display. There will be live interactive music by Barry Lane of Stoneham.
