Kevin Gagne
LEWISTON — The city has named Kevin Gagné its public works director.
He most recently was the department’s deputy director of utilities.
During his 30-year tenure at the department, he also served as deputy director of public services, assistant water and sewer department superintendent, combined sewer overflow and water system coordinator, project engineer, and construction inspector/survey technician.
Gagné will manage a department of more than 100 staff, over 150 vehicles, and a $30 million budget. The department includes Building Division, Engineering Division, Municipal Garages, Highway Division, Trees and Open Spaces Division, Solid Waste Division, and Stormwater Utility Division.
Gagné, a member of Maine Water Utilities and a Maine licensed professional engineer, grew up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School.
