ROME — Pine Tree Camp is set to host an information session for parents and caregivers via Zoom at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24.

Attendees can meet Pine Tree Camp Director Dawn Willard-Robinson, get a first-hand look at the campus, experience the wide array of fully accessible programming and participate in a live Q&A.

Pine Tree Camp, a program of Pine Tree Society, is Maine’s only American Camp Association accredited camp exclusively for children with disabilities. Week-long summer overnight and day camp sessions are designed for children living with a full range of disabilities, and no camper is ever turned away because of their ability to pay, according to a news release from Erin Rice with the center.

This information session will explore all Pine Tree Camp has to offer, including:

• A 285-acre fully accessible campus on North Pond in Rome;

• a barrier-free environment allowing campers, regardless of ability levels, to actively participate in activities like swimming, boating, fishing, biking, archery, hiking, drama, arts and a fully accessible treehouse; and

• opportunities for campers to make lifelong friends with peers.

Registration is required at pinetreesociety.org. The Zoom conference login will be sent to participants after registration.
