Pauline C. (Valcourt) DuBois

AUBURN – Pauline C. (Valcourt) DuBois, 81, of Auburn passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, surrounded by family. Born in Lewiston on Oct. 10, 1942, she was the daughter of Louis and Marie Rose (Levesque) Valcourt.

Lovingly known by her friends as “Val,” she attended Lewiston High School. Upon graduation, Pauline went on to receive her nursing degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for many years, ending her career in Radiation Oncology at CMMC. While there, she cared for countless people facing difficult challenges, often using her French speaking ability to provide comfort.

Her faith and family were most precious to her. She was a lifelong member of St. Philip and Sacred Heart Church. She and Paul raised three children, and they enjoyed spending time with their five grandchildren; each having their own fond memories of times spent with their grandparents.

She is survived by her children, James (Veronica) of Auburn, Daniel (Kristin) of Shreveport, La., Marie (Kevin) Tobin of Exeter, NH; her sister, Regina (Larry) Roy of Orr’s Islandl her beloved grandchildren, Danielle, Ellie, Emily, Jacqueline and William; and her many cherished nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. DuBois; her parents, Louis and Marie Rose (Levesque) Valcourt; and her grandson, James.

A Funeral Mass honoring Pauline’s life will be celebrated on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
