An opening reception is planned for “Roger C. Williams, Artist and Adman of Lovell, Maine” from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, May 3, in the Pace Galleries of Art at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center on the campus of Fryeburg Academy.

Over a lifetime of combining fine art and advertising, Roger Williams presents his artistic visions of Maine, New Mexico and advertising ephemera to the Western Maine community. A mixture of oil paintings, watercolors and prints captures his unique interpretation of various landscapes, animals and portraiture.

From an over sixty year career in advertising , as a art director at McCann-Erickson in Pittsburgh to his own agency in Portland for 23 years, Williams worked on such varied accounts as Westinghouse, Osram Sylvania, Sunday River Ski Resort and Hussey Seating.

Admission is free.

The exhibition will be open for viewing on Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. when Fryeburg Academy is in session or at other times by appointment.
