AUBURN — A Community Recycle Day Drive-Thru event to celebrate Earth Day is set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 20, at 40 Stanley St. The event is hosted by Community Credit Union.

Local community partners are joining forces to offer the community a convenient and free way to recycle items such as documents to be shredded, tires for recycling, and new or gently used and clean reusable resources (art supplies, craft materials, school and business supplies, home furnishings, sports equipment) with the SHAREcenter, according to a news release from the credit union.

The team will be collecting clothing and non-perishables for the Kaydenz Kitchen Pantry throughout the event. Kommunity Kritters will be collecting cat litter, and cat and dog food, bowls, treats and toys for its pet pantry. North Coast Services will be collecting electronic devices such as TVs, monitors, computers, laptops and printers only.

There also will be a cans and bottle drive on site, where 100% of proceeds will benefit the SHAREcenter.

Community Credit Union, SHAREcenter, Stratham Tire, Kaydenz Kitchen, Kommunity Kritters, North Coast Services and Shredding on Site are partnering to provide this service to their community. There is no cost for this event and; one does not need to be a member of Community Credit Union to participate.
