WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine will be holding its Annual Membership Meeting and Members’ Potluck at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 at the FinnAm building at 8 Maple Street in West Paris. Bring a favorite dish to share and join us after another long winter.

WEST PARIS — The Finnish Cemetery Association has moved its meeting location and will meet on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Finnish Heritage Building at 8 Maple Street in West Paris. Reports will be given and the election of officers held. All persons having connections with the cemetery are urged to attend. If you are interested in joining the association, please join us, we would love to welcome some new members!

Spring Ticket Auction

NORWAY — Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main Street, Norway, will be hosting a ticket auction on Saturday, May 11. Viewing will be from 3-5 p.m. with the auction starting at 5:15 p.m. All funds raised will be used to upgrade the sound system in the church.

Many gift items, collectibles, antiques, homemade baked goods, gift certificates, and more will be available. Save this date, and bring your friends and family to this fun auction event. Food and drinks will be available to purchase during the ticket auction. We will have many ticket envelope options to fit every budget. $1 tickets will be available for special items. 50/50 tickets will also be available. You don’t want to miss this great ticket auction!

 

Spring Church Sale

SUMNER — On May 18, the Congregational Church of East Sumner will have its 14th Annual Spring Sale on the lawn, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Church will be offering a large Mostly Perennial Plants Sale, frozen chicken pot pies, baked goods, raffle items, breakfast sandwiches, and a Beanhole Bean Lunch. Bagpipes will be played from about 8:30-9 a.m. Proceeds from Church sales will benefit the work of the Church. There will also be about 15 local crafters selling a variety of goods, along with a book sale from the Zadoc Long Free Library. The Church is located at 50 Main Street, Rte. 219, and is accessible.
