Kenneth Roy Davis

FAYETTE – Kenneth Roy Davis, 86, a resident of Fayette, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, April 20, 2024.

He was born Nov. 1, 1937, in Livermore Falls, the son of Lillian Delmar Davis. He was a 1956 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. After graduation Ken served with Naval Construction Battalion 7 Detachment India in Newfoundland, Canada, the Caribbean, Davisville, R.I. and San Salvador BWI, achieving the rating of Construction Electrician and rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. Ken was proud to be a Seabee.

Returning to civilian life, Ken was employed by Livermore Shoe Shop, Central Maine Power, International Paper, and G2S in Laconia, N.H. He was a licensed electrician and accomplished carver of ducks and birds, a carpenter and woodworker, and an avid vegetable gardener.

A true family man, he was a devoted husband and wonderful father, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ken married the love of his life, Janet E. Randall in 1956 and together they raised five daughters. Ken and Janet traveled throughout the United States and briefly lived in Florida before returning to Maine.

He was predeceased by his wife, Janet; his mother, Lillian; and his sister, Charleen Davis Gilbert.

He is survived by his daughters Pamela Davis Green and husband Richard of Wayne, Debra Davis and husband David Grund of Leeds, Kathy Howatt and husband David of Fayette, Wendy Davis and husband David Berntsen of Wayne, Joline Polyson and husband Thomas of Carrsville, Va. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no public service or visitation. Interment will take place at a later date at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, East Livermore. Arrangements by Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
