LEWISTON — Absentee ballots for the Lewiston school budget validation referendum, planned for Tuesday, May 14, are available from the City Clerk’s Office for Lewiston voters. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 4 p.m. Thursday, May 9.

Registered voters needing an absentee ballot may order one by calling the clerk’s office at 207-513-3124, mailing in an application form downloaded from lewistonmaine.gov/elections, or visiting the clerk’s office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.Monday-Friday on the second floor of City Hall, 27 Pine St.

Per state law, completed absentee ballots cannot be submitted to the clerk’s office until after the City Council’s adoption of the school budget, scheduled for Tuesday, May 7.
