This year’s book pick for the Fourth Annual Lewiston/Auburn Community Read with the Lewiston and Auburn public libraries is “Where Are You From?” by Yamile Saied Méndez.

The initiative is in partnership with the Lewiston and Auburn Public Schools and the city of Lewiston.

All ages can visit the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St., and create artwork inspired by “Where Are You From?” All artwork is set to be displayed at the Community Art Exhibition in Callahan Hall at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11. People can create their own watercolor painting or clay sculpture at Callahan Hall from 3-6:30 p.m. May 6 and 7 or from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 8 and 9.

Along with their artwork submission, participants can indicate where they are from on a world map and add their chosen piece of yarn to the loom, where a Lewiston/Auburn woven tapestry where be created.
