Jane M. Welch Woods

MEXICO – Jane M. Welch Woods, 71, died Wednesday April 10, 2024, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. She enjoyed summers at Roxbury Pond and winters in Florida.

Jane was born in Rumford on April 28, 1952, and was a daughter of Carl and Marguerite (Pretty) Welch. She was a graduate of Mexico High School class of 1970 and Bernards School of Hair Fashion class of 1971. She owned and operated Country Hair Care in Mexico. She was a member of the Mexico First Baptist Church.

Jane was married in Mexico on August 28, 1977, to Steven Woods who survives of Mexico. Other survivors include a daughter Tawnya M. Woods of Rochester, NH; brother, Barry J. Allen of Rumford; grandchildren, Kylia, Shilya, Serenity, Bella; and a great grandson Tucker. She was predeceased by her brothers, Wayne Allen, David Welch and Richard Welch, William Welch and John Welch.
