Andrea B. Fillebrown

STONEHAM – Andrea B. Fillebrown, 63, of Stoneham, died early Monday morning, April 29, 2024, at her home in Stoneham. She spent her last day with her entire family at her house. Her obituary as she wrote is as follows:

“I’ve had a blessed life which began on May 31, 1960. I was born to Carlton and Mertice Barker Jr. and was the youngest of 4. I attended schools in Stoneham, Lovell & Fryeburg as well as The University of Southern Maine & Texas A & M in College Station, Texas. In 1986 I met Charles (Gus) Fillebrown III and we were married in 1988. We have 2 sons, Travis and Jacob. Gus and I loved following them from T-ball to college baseball games and their many other activities.

I loved the outdoors, having fun and traveling. I was an avid skier since the age of 3. We took many trips, but my favorite trip was driving around the country, coast to coast with Gus in the fall of 2021.

I worked at Texas A&M veterinary school taking care of monkeys, the restaurant industry and then joined my father and brother in the excavation business where I worked for 35 + years.

Illness plagued me most of my life, but I didn’t let that slow me down. I tried to always have a positive outlook. In 2016 and 2021 I was blessed with 2 grandsons, Sawyer and Callan. In 2023, I was blessed with a granddaughter Andi. They were the apple of my eye.

At my request there will be no services, but I would like anyone that wishes to; have a drink and say “cheers” to your loved ones for me.

I am survived by my husband Gus; sons, Travis, Jacob and wife Samantha; grandsons Sawyer and Callan; granddaughter Andi; brother Tom and family; sister-in-law Geneva and family. I was predeceased by brothers Timothy and Danny.

I would like to thank my husband Gus for being a wonderful husband, dad and caregiver; and my lifelong friend Deidra for always being there for me, in sickness and health.”

Arrangements are in the care of the Hall Funeral Home in Casco where condolences and tributes may be shared with her family and friends at http://www.hallfuneralhome.net.
