Anita P. Breton

LEWISTON – Anita P. Breton, 90, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024, at St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion with her loving daughter Lena by her side.

Anita was born and raised in Lewiston, a daughter to Sarto and Exilia (Dubois) St. Cyr. She attended Lewiston schools and remained a lifelong resident of the community.

Anita was married to Edgar “Spike” Breton and the pair had two children Lena and Lisa. Anita loved to be at home caring for her children and many others throughout her time as a homemaker.

Anita was a proud member of St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston. She attended church regularly at Holy Trinity until she was unable due to illness.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Edgar Breton; her three brothers Reverend Richard E. St. Cyr, Bert St. Cyr and Ronald St. Cyr, as well as her sister Priscille St. Cyr.

Anita is survived by her two daughters Lena Breton and Lisa Breton (Teresa Messersmith); her sister Sister Rachel St. Cyr R.S.R, her two brothers Raymond (Anita) St. Cyr and Roger St. Cyr. She also leaves behind her two grandchildren Nathan LaCroix and Krista (Will) Proulx; as well two great grandchildren Harper and Hayden; her nephew John (Jessica) St. Cyr; and her beloved dog Red.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Morgan (hospice) as well as the staff on 2 West and 3 East for the wonderful care they gave to Anita.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 3rd at the Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon at 11 a.m. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
