The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club is set to host a talk by Joanna Moore, founder and board member of Crosswalk Community Outreach in Naples, at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9.

The gathering will be held at Stella’s on the Square, 6 North High St. in Bridgton.

Crosswalk, founded in 2009, has served the Lake Region community for more than 15 years. Moore was director of Crosswalk for more than 12 years. She serves as chaplain, community health worker, and board member of the organization, according to a news release from the rotary.

Today Crosswalk has 35 volunteers. Among those they serve are local seniors, disabled veterans, the homeless, and those seeking clothing, meals, emergency fuel and friendship.

Moore’s presentation will be on valuing veterans.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Coffee will be served.
