Lynn Hurd, Lovell, and Bob Hatch, Fryeburg, exchange part of the pig raffle winnings. Submitted

LOVELL — Bob Hatch of Fryeburg (and owner of Bob Hatch, Sign Maker) won the pig raffle held by the Fryeburg Area Rotary Club. He generously donated the 316-pound pig to the Sweden Food Pantry. The fully processed and smoked animal will be available for Pantry shoppers on the next pantry day.

Lynn Hurd, treasurer of the Pantry’s Board of Directors, accepted the donation from her long-time family friend and remarked, “I’ve known Bob my whole life. He has always been very generous. Our shoppers will love his gift. It will make a wonderful difference to their meals over the next few weeks.”

The Sweden Food Pantry is open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The Pantry serves the towns of Bridgton, Harrison, Fryeburg, Lovell, Stow, Stoneham, Sweden, and Waterford. They do not, however, turn away any eligible family. For more information, check the website https://www.swedenfoodpantry.org/ or Facebook Page. The Food Pantry’s phone number is (207) 647-5735.
