To the Editor:
Telstar High School’s Project Graduation Committee is excited to celebrate our high school seniors. It is an effort that has happened for the past 40 years. Project Graduation was started to save the lives of our children by having a supervised and chemical-free environment. Events are scheduled for the week of graduation, culminating with a night of activities immediately after graduation on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Project Graduation receives no funding from the school budget. It is only through the generosity of families, friends, individuals, and businesses in our community that we have been able to host Project Graduation for so many years. The students also enjoy prizes at the end of the evening. A tremendous amount of thanks to those who have already supported this event in the past and are doing so again this year.
We will hold the annual car wash at Mac’s Car Wash on May 18. The rain date is May 19. The hours of the car wash will be 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Hope to see you there and thank you so much for supporting this event to celebrate our graduation seniors.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
