PARIS — Jacob Bonang and Ethan Johnson, two graduating Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School seniors, chose to help the Paris Public Library for their senior project this winter and spring, by launching a video game collection at the library. They sorted through hundreds of duplicate DVDs donated to the library over the years to find those most valuable to Bull Moose, trading them for video games at the Lewiston store.
They got several X-box, Play Station, and Switch games for the library to loan out to patrons. They also prepared the games for circulation and cataloged them into the collection. At this time, since the collection is relatively small, the game loan period is one week, with a limit of one game per family.
To raise more money to invest in games, and to help the collection grow, the Paris Public Library is holding a DVD and CD sale on Saturday, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Deering Memorial Community Center, located at 39 Main Street in Paris (across Church Street from the Paris Public Library).
For more information about the project, games, or sale, please call the Paris Public Library at 743-6994 or email [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
