The Board discussed an upcoming meeting with the State about Lovejoy Covered Bridge graffiti. Resident Donna Gagne asked if the State maintains the inside of the bridge as well as the outside of the bridge. Mills responded that he was not sure if they [The State] would address it, since there is quite a bit of writing on the bridge. “I’m not sure where it stands at this moment,” said Mills.

Thacker said, “I know that because of all the natural disasters their main focus is getting roads [and bridges] up to par.”

Town Manager

Brian Mills said he wanted it to be on the public record that he has a meeting scheduled with Woodstock Town Manager Vern Maxfield to gain insight on a town manager position for the Town of Andover.

“I do think it would behoove us to take a look at that,” said Mills who has researched 13 towns, “for the price analysis for our positions, benefits and insurance … there have been committees in the past that have looked into it. There is a bit of information in the office on creating that position. Probably seven years ago.”
