LEWISTON — Androscoggin Historical Society’s Civil War Discussion Group is set to begin its second year Thursday, May 23. This is an opportunity for descendants in Androscoggin County to share stories of their relatives during that 1861-65 national crisis.

Discussions, free and open to all, will take place at 6 p.m. with monthly events set for May 23, June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19 in the atrium of the historical society at 93 Lisbon St.
