NORWAY — Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main Street, Norway is excited to announce that its Thrift Shoppe will be open on Saturday, June 1 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Thanks to generous donations from the Oxford Hills Community, the Thrift Shoppe will feature unique and common household items, dishes, glassware, books, jewelry, linens, toys, antiques and so much more. All items are clean, in good working order, and very reasonably priced. Some are new and some are gently used.

The money raised by the Thrift Shoppe will support the many missions of our community church, which include but are not limited to: the monthly free drive-thru supper, online and in-person worship services, Sunday school, Bible study, donations to local food pantries, knitting and book groups.

On Saturday, June 1, between 10 a.m. and noon, church members will accept donations for the Thrift Shoppe. All items should be clean, in good condition, new or gently used, and suitable for the Thrift Shoppe. Members suggest antiques, children’s books and toys, jewelry, kitchen items, dishes, glassware, small appliances, lamps, tools, puzzles, furniture, pictures, mirrors, silverware, linens, seasonal decorations, etc.

In the parking lot on Saturday, June 1, there will also be a large Plant Sale. Vegetable seedlings, annuals, and perennials will be for sale. Proceeds from the Plant Sale will support youth activities at the church.
