Harry J. Buswell Sr.
SOUTH PARIS – Harry J. Buswell Sr., 72, passed away on Sunday May 5, 2024, at the Veterans Home in South Paris, with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 12, 1951, in Lewiston, a son of Eugene and Abigail (Gill) Buswell.
He graduated from the local school system, and then joined the United State Air Force proudly serving the country. After the military Harry became a truck driver, until his retirement. Harry was in the fire department for over 30 years.
Harry loved to spend time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Eugene and Abigail Buswell, his sister, Nancy Buswell and his wife Wanda Buswell.
He is survived by his loving daughter Dawn and Peter of Canton, his son Harry Buswell Jr., of Augusta, his son Dana and Ursula Buswell of Sidney. His grandchildren, Deric, Brookelyn, Caleb, Morgan and Issac. Great-grandchild RaeAnn. His sisters, Alison and Wilbur Crowell Brenda Stevens, his brother Paul and Eulalie Buswell. Many nieces and nephews. And many friends and extended family.
In keeping with Harry’s wishes, a committal service will take place at the Maine Veteran Cemetery in Augusta with military honors. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 45 Main St., South Paris.
