Louis E. “Lou” Bosse
AUBURN – Louis E. “Lou” Bosse, 82, of Auburn, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by love and family.
He was born Sept. 15, 1941 in Lewiston. His younger life included graduating from St. Louis High School, attending seminary school and the Navy, he also owned Bosse Sheet Metal in Florida.
At the time of his passing he was retired and living with the love of his life, the former Jean Disney. They were married for 54 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Jeanne Marie; his siblings Gerry and Fern; his sons Carl, Kevin and Louis Jr., and also an adopted daughter, Stacey. He had one son Gerry Bosse and his wife Danielle, and their boys Matt, Tyler and Hunter. Lou had three daughters, Penny Haley and her husband Tom, and their daughters Brittany and Courtney; Dee Arel, and her sons Andy and Ryder; Karen Bosse Plourde and her children. Lou also is survived by three adopted grandchildren, Kristen, David and Cindi; many nieces, nephews; and great-grandchildren; and so many more that called him “Dad” because they loved him.
Lou was a man who loved his family deeply, loved life entirely, was easy going and was content with sitting on the front porch with his wife. He was loved by so many and will be missed forever.

A funeral service for Lou will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the service and a reception.
