June Moore

LEWISTON – June Moore, 90, passed away on May 17, 2024 where she was a resident at The Marshwood Center in Lewiston. Sje was born in Greenwood on June 2, 1933, the daughter of Emil and Norma (Cole) Heikkinen.

June was a graduate of West Paris High School. She managed the Sears Roebuck Store in Rumford and later bought into the franchise and moved the store to Mexico, Maine. She was also a member of the Peru Baptist Church.

June is survived by her daughter, Shelley Cormier and husband Peter of Rumford, her son, Thomas Moore Sr. and companion Heidi of Rumford; a brother, Gilbert Heikkenin and companion Jean of Surprise, Ariz.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Tom Jr.; great-grandchildren, Leila, Joseph, Dylan, Harley, Bentley, Tom III, Abygail, and Dreah. She was predeceased by a son, Dana Richardson; a brother, Larry Heikkinen and a sister Irene Redman.
