Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services plans to hold a fundraiser, the All In Fore Survivors Golf Tournament, on Friday, June 7, at the Sugarloaf Golf Course in Carrabassett Valley.
Registration is now open at sapars.org.
For over 40 years, SAPARS has provided support and advocacy to people of all ages and genders impacted sexual violence. Its programs include a 24/7 helpline, support groups, in-person advocacy through legal proceedings, prevention education and drop in hours at K-12 schools, as well as a Children’s Advocacy Center which provides specialized care and support for children who have experienced abuse.
SAPARS provides all of its services free of charge. Participants in this fundraiser will make a difference in the lives of survivors, and helping the organization in its work to prevent and end sexual violence in its communities.
Individuals can sign up to participate for $150 per person or register as a team of four for $600. Businesses and individuals looking to make an even greater impact may sponsor the event to showcase their commitment to supporting survivors of sexual violence.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
