JAY – Cindy Lou A. Bennett,70, a resident of Jay, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her home. She was born August 16, 1953, in Farmington, the daughter of James H. Bennett and Andrienne (Cheli) Bennett. She was a 1971 graduate of Jay High School. On September 21, 1989, in Jay, she married Richard Rush, Jr. They enjoyed 22 years together, before his passing on August 8, 2012. Cindy started her work at The Otis Mill later transferring to the Androscoggin Mill in Jay where she worked as a store room clerk and in motor storage. She was a member of the I.P Quarter Century Club and a passionate member of Local Union #14. Cindy will be remembered as a kind and giving person, who devoted her time to her family, home, and community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister Brenda Spear and husband Wesley, and nephew Nathan Spear all of Gloucester, Va., cousins, Randy Bennett of Bethel, Maine, Terri Crovetti of N.H., Barbara Slovak of Pawtucket, R.I., Jeff Breton of Jay, David Hathaway of Wilton, Francis Myers and Kathy McVane both of Portland. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 30, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., on Wednesday, May 29, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls, Maine following the service.
