Free passes to the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum (MMGM) are now available at the Rangeley Public Library. Single-day passes may be obtained at the Library and cover admission for 2 adults and 4 students (children under 12 are always free). MMGM, located in Bethel, Maine, is open every day except Tuesdays.  

From the world’s foremost collection of meteorites to the most extensive collection of Maine minerals and geologic specimens in the United States, MMGM tells the fascinating stories of our natural world. The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum celebrates Earth and cultivates critical thinking through education, research and dynamic exhibitry— all designed to inspire visitors about Maine’s geologic history, pegmatite mining, and our planet’s place in the solar system.
