Ronald Duguay
PERU – Ronald Duguay, 87, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. He was a resident of Ridge Road in Peru.
Born in Rumford on Sept. 10, 1936, he was a son of Leo and Theresa (Clifford) Duguay. He attended Rumford Schools and then served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. Following his service, Ronald worked 44 years as a Millwright for the Rumford Mill. He was the Treasurer of the American Legion in Peru and a member of the Eagles. Ron was an avid Cribbage and Poker player often coming home with some “extra spending money” from his winnings. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Isabel Paterson, residing in Peru; daughters Sue Buck of Frye, Lynda Berryment of Dixfield, and Debbie Marston and husband Tim of Mexico, brother-in-law Michael Mann, sister-in-law Jeanne Duguay; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons, Ronald and Mark; his parents; sisters, Mary Lou Duguay Fournier and Beverly Duguay Mann, a brother, Richard Duguay; a grandson Bryan Chase; son-in-law Scott Berryment and brother-in-law, Aime Fournier.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius & St. John’s Church, at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024. Arrangements are under the direction of Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St. Rumford, ME.
