Brian D. White
JAY – Brian D. White, 80, of Jay, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, May 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 15, 1943, in Farmington, the son of Reginald and Hazel (Webster) White. Brian was a 1962 graduate of Wilton Academy. In 1964 he married Christal Crockett, they later divorced in 1973. On July 26, 1978, he married Linda Mitchell, they enjoyed nearly 18 years together before her passing on July 1, 1996. Brian has been with his special lady, Erna White, for the past 27 years. Brian had worked at the Wilton Tannery, G.H. Bass and as a Recaust operator at International Paper Company in Jay. He was a member of the Wilton Fish and Game Club, and N.R.A. He enjoyed gardening, pickling, canning, and cooking. Brian especially loved going to camp on Nicatous Lake to fish and hunt and just relaxing on his deck both at home and camp. He will be greatly missed by those that loved and knew him.
He is survived by his son, Lonnie White and wife Cindy of Lamoine, his “special lady” Erna White of Jay, his sister, Linda Neuschwanger and husband Jim of East Wilton, granddaughters, Hayley and Erin White, nephew and friend, Todd Perkins and many other nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Also, a special thank you to the Mitchell family and Erna’s family, who have all been very supportive. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Linda White, former wife, Christal Ericksen, sister, Bonnie Strout and brother Terry White. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, June 6th at Lakeview Cemetery, Route 2, Wilton, Maine. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
