Russell John Mack
SOUTH PARIS – Russell John Mack, 85, passed Friday, June 7, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Norway, on Feb. 20, 1939, the son of Russell Jordan and Ivis (Rolfe) Mack. Russell attended local schools before being drafted to serve his Country in the United States Army (1962-1968). Aug. 19, 1962, Russell married the love of his life, Janice Mary Taylor. They had three children. He worked as a truck driver, working for Engineering Industry, New England Public Warehouse and Hadley Excavation. Russell also volunteered for the South Paris Fire Department.
Russell loved to be with his family, to hunt, fish and be outdoors. He was a nozzleman for the fire department. Handtub at Fireman’s Musters, and still holds the record for longest distance. Russell also enjoyed WWE, NASCAR, and hanging out with friends to play cards.
Russell is survived by his wife Janice of 61 years. Daughter Pam, son Dana and his partner Candy, Daughter Tricia and husband Scott, brother Roger and wife Theresa, sisters, Nancy and Sandra. Grandson Brandon, granddaughter Miranda and her partner Joey, granddaughters, Delaney, Renee and Brittany, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Ivis, brothers, Dick and Roy, and grandchildren, Crystal and Keith.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday June 22, 2024, at Riverside Annex Cemetery, Paris Hill Road, South Paris.
