Peter H. Gagnon

POLAND – Pete, 52, of Poland, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born in Lewiston to Henry and Pauline (Courbron) Gagnon on Feb. 8, 1972.

He married Serrene (Karkos) Gagnon on May 16, 1997. Pete’s family always came first. He enjoyed family time, especially watching his boys run cross country, boating, camping, ATV/snowmobile riding, and remodeling houses. He was the glue that kept our family, and many others, together. He was always in for an adventure. He was only allowed five “turnarounds”. He said, “It is not the destination but the adventure on the way.” Our family is so grateful to have had so many amazing adventures with him.

Pete is survived by his devoted wife, Serrene; his loving sons Justin and Jacob, and Libby McIntyre (Jacob’s partner). He also leaves behind his brother, Richard Gagnon, sisters Annette St. Pierre and Angie Gagnon; in-laws Joseph Karkos and Carol Donnell, JoAn Karkos, Gary Landry, Greg Karkos, and Chris St. Pierre. He had one amazing niece, Casey Landry (Matthew White), and many adventurous nephews Chad Landry (Deidre Griffin), Ethan Gagnon (Breana Gagnon), Ryan St. Pierre (Brittney Duncan), Brent Gagnon (Alison Hickson), and Kyle St. Pierre. Lastly, but loved just as greatly, he leaves three fun loving great-nephews, Owen Landry, Cameron Landry and Ryker St. Pierre. He also leaves behind his business partner, Steve Morrell Jr. and his family.

He was predeceased by his parents; and oldest sister, Debbie Landry.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to Libby McIntyre for being with Pete and I at the end, along with Poland Fire and Rescue, Androsoggin Sheriff’s Dept., Mechanic Falls Police Dept. and Chandler Funeral Parlor.

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Slovak Club, 26 Avery St., Lisbon Falls. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 26 West Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.
