Michael C. Hutchins

LEWISTON – Michael C. Hutchins, 71, of Auburn, died March 7, 2024 at the Marshwood Center in Lewiston.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1953, in Rumford, a son of Donald E. and Betty Jane Hutchins, Sr. He attended schools in Hartford and Buckfield and Pineland in Poland

Mike worked at Bessey Foods in Buckfield, Daniels Construction in Rumford and Hillcrest Farms in Lewiston.

He enjoyed antiques and the company of friends.

Mike is survived by his significant other of 21 years, Debbie Hamel of Auburn; siblings, David Hutchins of Livermore, Julie Stewart and her husband, James of Wisconsin, Wesley Hutchins and his wife, Dana of Hartford, and Jane Averill and her husband, Michael of Buckfield; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Hutchins of Canton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Donald Hutchins, Jr.

A graveside committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28, at the Demerritt Cemetery in Peru.
