Richard “Dick” Leach Jr.
LIVERMORE FALLS – Richard “Dick” Leach Jr., 78, a resident of Livermore Falls passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was born Sept. 2, 1945, in Augusta, the son of Richard D. Leach Sr. and Alice Bonnevie. He was a 1963 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and attended the University of Machias. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Dick worked as an electrician at International Paper Company at the Androscoggin Mill in Jay. On Nov. 15, 1969, he married Linda Legere at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Dick loved to keep busy. He enjoyed tinkering, carpentry, helping his Florida neighbors with their computer issues, and his time spent at Beachway Park in Gulfport, Fla.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Leach and husband Michael of East Dixfield, Lori Haynes and husband Gerald of New Boston, New Hampshire, his son Richard Leach III and wife Nicole of Livermore Falls, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his brother Peter Leach and wife Marianne, sisters, Terri Bauld and husband William, Jean Hyland and husband Joe, Maryann Giguere and husband Eugene, Nancy Bonnevie, and Richardine Chapman and husband Scott.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife Linda, and three grandchildren.
