Stephen “Steve” Doucette

POLAND – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen “Steve” Doucette, 69, on June 25, 2024, after a long illness. He was born in Waterville to Antonio and Charlotte Doucette. Steve graduated from St. Dominic Academy and went on to the University of Maine and Central Maine Community College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Business Administration and Management.

Steve dedicated many years to the Town of Lisbon working at the Lisbon Public Works Department and at the Lisbon School Department. He also worked as a police officer and served as a volunteer firefighter. Steve was one of the original members of the Lisbon Walking Trail Committee and also served on the Building Committee for the Lisbon Community School. Later Steve developed and implemented the heavy equipment operator curriculum for the Westbrook Regional Technical Center. Steve enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing and relaxing on his pontoon boat with family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents Antonio and Charlotte Doucette and his brother Douglas. Steve is survived by the love of his life Nancy Doucette; Steve’s Daughter, Stephanie Kuietauskas and husband Brian; stepdaughters, Robin Bosse, Jamie Rice and husband Jared; Siblings: Richard, Robert and Cathleen and husband Ricardo and daughter Amelia; grandchildren Olivia, Riley and Jackson and his former spouse Judith Doucette.

Visitation will be held at Pinette, Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, on Tuesday, July 2, from 2-3 p.m., with the Liturgy of the Word starting at 3 p.m. You may offer your condolences and share your memories of Steve at http://www.lynchbrothers.com.
