Christy Ayotte
BOSTON, Mass. – Christy M. Ayotte, 45, of Auburn, passed away following a brief illness on June 24, 2024. Christy was born in the Philippines on Jan. 3, 1979, the daughter of Fernand and Dee Ayotte. Shortly after, she moved to Maine growing up and attending school in the Lewiston School Department. She attended the University of Maine getting her bachelors degree in education.
Christy became a teacher soon after her graduation coming back to her Alma Mater and becoming a teacher for the Lewiston Public Schools teaching at both Montello Elementary and Geiger Elementary schools. During her 20-plus years of teaching, she made many friends with both colleagues and students. She was always very proud of the work that she did and the affect that she had on her student’s lives.
Christy had an infectious smile and an outgoing personality that will leave fond memories for everyone she met. Christy had a large family with many uncles, aunts and cousins that she was close with, both in Maine and California. Christy was very fortunate that for the last two years she was able to share her house with her mother, Dee. She was also very fortunate to have a large, strong group of friends that she had since childhood and they still remain extremely close. Christy and Josh met nine years ago and shared many great times, lots of laughs and a strong love for each other. Christy will be missed by so many people whose lives she affected during her life.
She is survived by her fiancé, Josh White of Auburn; her mother, Dee Ayotte of Auburn; a sister, Angel Dunn of Georgia; and a niece, Alyssa Dunn; along with many friends, colleagues, and students whom she cared for deeply.
She was predeceased by her father, Fernand Ayotte.
