The White House, scene of many of the nation’s sorrows, again became a house of mourning today while the whole people, it seemed poured in their message of sympathy at the death of President Coolidge’s 16 year old boy, Calvin, Jr.
50 Years Ago: 1974
Officer Denis Pacquin was bitten early Sunday morning while trying to free a dog tangled in its leash after having been called to the Boston Avenue and East Avenue area of Lewiston by residents who complained of barking. The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment.
25 Years Ago: 1999
Moxie was concocted in the town of Union in 1876 by Augustine Thompson as a nerve tonic.
In 1985 the first Moxie Day Festival parade marched the downtown streets.
This year the Moxie Day Festival will roar for three days straight.
