Dalon Lee Bachelder Sr.
LEEDS – Dalon Lee Bachelder Sr., 75, a resident of Leeds, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was born on October 27, 1946, in Avon, one of fifteen children to Walter J. Bachelder, Sr. and Vilda F. (Moody) Bachelder. Dalon attended schools in Auburn and Leeds and received his GED in Turner. Dalon was a “jack of all trades”, working in the sawmill, Livermore Falls shoe shop and as a mechanic, often helping his brother Steve. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, stockcars, watching wrestling and westerns on the television. Dalon is survived by his daughters, Lisa Gray and companion Terry May of Leeds, Jaclyn Bergmann and husband Frederick of Auburn, 2 sons, Kevin Bachelder and wife Laura of Turner, Jay Bachelder of Leeds, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters; Glenis Jackson of Avon, Christine Hafford of Monmouth, Deana Hewins of Leeds, Evelyn Ray and husband Vern of Greene, 4 brothers; Leland Bachelder of Phillips, Earl Bachelder and wife Janice of Friendship, Dennis Bachelder and wife Cheryl of Pembrook, Steve Bachelder and wife Lisa of Leeds, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, an infant daughter, Nichole Mae Bachelder and a son, Dalon L. Bachelder Jr., 2 sisters, Noreen Chamberlain, Irene Hafford and 4 brothers, Walter R. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will be Leeds Center Cemetery, Rt 106, Leeds, Maine 04263
