Isla DeCato, of Bethel, jumped 14 feet 1.5 inches breaking the Telstar Middle School record.

BETHEL — On the Telstar Middle School Track and Field record wall, there is a new name with a new record beside it.

Isla DeCato jumped 14 feet 1.5 inches, a new record in the girls’ long jump.

The Telstar eighth grader had her name added at the Spring Sports Recognition Ceremony at Telstar, said Telstar Athletic Coordinator Gail Wight.
