Gerald Normand Bouffard
LEWISTON – Gerald Normand Bouffard, 86, of Lewiston, passed away July 13, 2024, with family by his side. He was born on April 16, 1938, the son of Fortunat and Yvonne Bouffard. He was educated at St Dominic’s high school graduating in 1955 and spent the next four in the Navy. He returned to Lewiston to find the love of his life Pauline Marchand and married May 26, 1962. They settled in Lewiston where they raised three sons.
Gerald worked for John Hancock as a life insurance salesman for 30 years then served in the state legislature representing Lewiston District 90 for four terms. Gerald was a member of Holy Family Church and was a 4th Degree member of the Knight of Columbus Council 10019. He enjoyed singing and was a member the Magic Pops and Holy Family Choir. After retirement he and his wife Pauline enjoyed playing cards and traveling with family and friends.
He is survived by three sons, Marc and Sylvie Bouffard of Agoura Hills, Calif., Dan and Anita Bouffard of Wales, Maine, and Ron Bouffard and companion Doug Peck of Chicago; five grandchildren, Adam, Ian, Alex, Michelle and Matthew Bouffard; brother Paul Bouffard of Lincoln, Neb., and sister-in-law Diane and husband Gerard LeBlond of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Pauline, a sister Pauline and husband Stewart McCrellis of Lewiston; and sister-in-law Carmel and husband Raymond Maheux of Auburn.
The family invites you to a time of visitation on Friday July 19, from 4-7 p.m., at The Fortin Group Auburn, 217 Turner St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 20, at 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St., Lewiston immediately followed by a committal service at St. Peters Cemetery on Deer Road in Lewiston.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Knights of Columbus Council 10019 Scholarship fund or the Androscoggin Hospice House.
