Clara Langevin Allen
MEXICO – Clara Langevin Allen, 88, died Tuesday July 16, 2024, at her residence on Swett Ave in Mexico.
Clara was born in Rumford, on Nov. 26, 1935, and was a daughter of Antonio and Avetta (Peare) Langevin. She was a graduate of Stephens High School and worked as a seamstress and as an Office Manager for Rumford Office Supply. She enjoyed summers at Worthley Pond in Peru.
She was married in Rumford on Sept. 28, 1957, to Maurice “Moe” Allen who died in Mexico, on Nov. 26, 2021.
Survivors include her sons, Dan of Mexico, Matthew of Delaware, her daughter Deborah Allen of Mexico, nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, a sister, Jean Weiss and husband Bon of Florida, daughter-in-law Karen Allen of Peru.
She was predeceased by a daughter Lynn-Marie and sons, Mark and Arthur.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius St. John Church. Interment will be in St John Cemetery in Rumford. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
