Leroy Virgil Jodrey
CANTON – Leroy Virgil Jodrey, 80, a resident of Canton went to eternal rest after a short illness on July 5, 2024. He was born Aug. 13, 1943, the son of John Jodrey and Alice (Cole) Jodrey.
Leroy attended schools in Andover, Maine. He was employed over the years at local wood mills, and he owned a firewood business. Leroy is also a veteran of the United States Army.
Leroy enjoyed staying busy, if he wasn’t mowing his lawn, he was hunting, fishing and having weekly get togethers with his best friends, Mike, Howard and Gary or relaxing watching his favorite New England Sports teams, but above all, Leroy was a family man, nothing meant more to him than being a father and spending time with his children.
He is survived by two daughters, Tina Jodrey of Canton, Tammy and husband Gregory Morse of Rumford, a son, Tracy Jodrey of Wilton, grandchildren, Nicholas Varnum, Nathan Blodgett, Noah Blodgett, Alycin Jodrey and Maisy Jodrey, great-grandchildren, Dominick Varnum, Colby Lemay Varnum, Payton Varnum, Divinity Varnum and Luna Blodgett, siblings, Richard Jodrey and wife Rhonda of Andover, Loretta Jodrey Huston of Sanford, Rosemary Taylor of Dayton, Roberta Pease of Rumford and Elaine Morton of Andover. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Alice (Cote) Jodrey, infant sister Dorothy Jodrey and sister Virginia Morton, two brothers, John Jodrey and Kenneth Jodrey and a son Tony Jodrey.
