Judith “Judy” Elaine Lowell

NEW VINEYARD – Judith “Judy” Elaine Lowell, 74, of New Vineyard, passed early Friday morning at the Andwell Partners Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Farmington, April 26, 1950, a daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Hiscock) Vining and received her education in local schools. One June 27, 1970, she married George M. Lowell and they worked tirelessly, side by side as caretakers for their very dear friends, Joe and Brenda Holman for many years.

Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Krista, Kayle, Emma, and Kaidyn. She worked in her yard tending her beautiful flower gardens and spending time at camp.

She is forever loved and missed by her husband, George; daughters Elizabeth McLatchy and her significant other, Donald Knight, Pam Waite, and Wendy Mitchell; grandchildren, Krista Haley and her husband, Michael, Kayle McLatchy, Jacob Waite, Chelsea Waite, Emily Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell, and Savannah Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Emma Knight, Kaidyn Haley, and Baby Haley, due in January of 2025; sisters Linda Hutchinson and her husband, Jan, Sandra Fish and her husband, Larry, brother-in-law, Bert Bryand; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters Janice Girardin and Joan Bryant, brother-in-law, Edward Girardin, a brother, Jesse Vining, Jr.; and a son, George Merton Lowell.

The family invites relatives and friends to visit, Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. followed by refreshments. Following cremation, private family interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington.
