Theresa M. Legere
RUMFORD – Theresa M. Legere, 96, died Tuesday July 23, 2024, at the Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester, N.H. She was formerly of Rumford.
Theresa was born in Rumford, on June 1, 1928, and was a daughter of Charles and Mary (Wenckus) Jaros. She was a graduate of Stephens High School class of 1946 and was a communicant of the Parish of The Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church.
Theresa was married in Rumford, on July 24, 1950, to Adelard “Del” Legere who died in Lewiston, on Jan. 5, 2002.
Theresa will be remembered for her love of card games, writing poems for special occasions, baking and cooking traditional family favorites, and telling stories of fond past times. But most of all, Theresa will be remembered for the absolute adoration she had for her family and friends, near and far, and the love they all had for her.
Survivors include a granddaughter Nicole Greene and husband Trevor Greene of Manchester, N.H., of Candia, N.H., great-granddaughter Tesse Greene of Manchester, N.H., and a son-in-law Dennis Blachard of Candia, N.H., and many nieces and nephews, all of whom had a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her daughter Debra Blanchard, her son Danny Legere, a brother Charles Jaros, and sisters Barbara Heath and Estelle Petrie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Thursday Aug. 8, 2024 at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius St. John Church 126 Maine Ave., Rumford. Interment will be in St John Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
Those who desire may contribute to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory in her memory.
