Kristen Cloutier has done a fantastic job representing her constituents in Lewiston.
She has been a strong advocate for addressing Maine’s urgent housing needs. From affordable apartments to resources for the unhoused community, she was a key player in making sure that we are doing our best to house every Mainer in a safe and healthy home.
During this latest session, I reached out to Kristen about how we could remove some of the barriers that residents of cooperative housing face in accessing housing and utility assistance programs. Together, we worked on a bill that fixed many of the technical barriers. As a result, cooperative residents can now apply for these programs just as any other resident can for their rental apartment or single family home.
Kristen helps make government work for the people, and I’m proud to support her reelection to the Maine House of Representatives this November.
