
HARTFORD — Several area fire crews were converging Sunday afternoon on a blaze on Old State Route 140, according to a dispatcher.
Early reports indicate fire departments from Oxford to Canton responded to the call at about 1 p.m. for a serious fire at 112 Old State Route 140 in Hartford.
Maine Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said the Office of State Fire Marshal was called to the scene and will be investigating. She said the home was a total loss.
Oxford County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook around 4 p.m. that Route 219 near Route 140 is closed to traffic.
Further details were not immediately available from responding fire departments.
