AUBURN – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Michel Landry, who departed this life on Aug. 2, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on Aug. 31, 1948, in Lewiston to Roger M and Madeliene Moreau Landry. He spent his early years in Lewiston, where he attended school and developed a passion for music. In 1962 he formed the band The Rockin’ Recons and spent many hours performing and entertaining at the Pal Hops. After graduating from high school, Ron enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, he pursued a career working for the Postal Service, eventually retiring as the Lewiston PostMaster.

Ron was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 55 years, Patty; his daughters Shelly Landry and her wife Belinda; Kimberly Marschall and her husband Ben; and his four grandchildren Carter, Chloe, Gavin, and Cameron.

Visitation will be held on Aug. 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Fortin Group in Auburn.

In lieu of flowers, Ron requested that people remember him and pay it forward, give a smile, a hug to a stranger and help make others’ days brighter.
